Webb-Jones was a cricketer. When he came  to the school he had this concrete practice wicket laid. Robert Hall was the only boy any good at the game as far as I recall.

The greenhouse was used to grow some produce under the  guidance of D R Jones. It contained an ancient grape vine and a large cast iron heating system.
