Fabrice Mogini
Morpheus - The first ever CD of generative music: Sixteen
tracks that remix themselves each time they're played!
Fabrice mogini has written two generative music compositions for Morpheus, a mac only cd-rom of dance music programmed in supercollider. Each song is a mini computer programme that contains the 'seed' for that track, every time it's played it will alter characteristics - melody - synth sounds - rythmns - arrangements - to produce a new version of itself, though remaining recognisible as a particular piece of music.

Choices - For flute solo & live electronics, created
in march 2000,
Middlesex University, London, UK.
In this piece, a flute (in the 12 equal-note temperament) is accompanied
by a computer (in the 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 equal-note temperaments).
It is a good example of the possible connections between these temperaments
and the Western Music standard tuning. It uses a real-time Pitch Follower
system so the electronics follow the flute.
