we have beautiful holiday accommodation situated in the heart of The Peak
District National Park with views across the picturesque
village of Millers Dale. There is the village church, River
Wye, pub serving real ale and good food, and exceptional walks on the doorstep. In nearby
Tideswell (2 miles) there are shops, tea rooms,
pubs/restaurants, tennis courts, bowling green and art
gallery.
The two
bed-roomed cottage accommodates up to 4 people. The
holiday home will accommodate 4 + 2. They are both
comfortable and well equipped making an ideal base for
couples, friends and families from which to explore the
beautiful Peak District.
Millers Dale is surrounded by glorious
rolling hills and beautiful dales. There are sparkling
rivers, leafy dales and superb countryside to explore.
Set in a stunning location with a multitude
of river side walks you can be promised an exceptional
break. We are directly on the Limestone Way and opposite the
Monsal Trail, midway between Chee Dale and Monsal Dale.
The market
town of Bakewell is close by as is Buxton with its famous
Opera House and Castleton where you can visit the Blue John
caves.
Chatsworth, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire,
is one of Britain’s best loved historic houses and estates
. Offering something for everyone to enjoy, from famous
works of art and the spectacular fountains in the garden to
the children's' Adventure Playground, it is set in
magnificent landscape, and is seen in the recently released
film of ‘Pride and Prejudice’.
There are
many other places we can recommend you visit including
Haddon Hall, the Derwent Valley Dams, the plague village of Eyam, Matlock Bath, Carsington Water,
the Chestnut Otter and
Owl Sanctury, Peak Rail's Steam Trains, Peveril and Bolsover
Castles, Crich Tramway Museum and Alton Towers.
