Printmaking by Hand

Explore the art of printmaking with a minimum of equipment. You can make beautiful prints using just hand pressure, no need for a press. We will work with lino, card and collage relief prints to produce limited editions in black and white and colour, also monoprint for painterly effects. There will be an opportuntiy to use a press to produce an edition towards the end of the course.

An introduction to the technique of stone lithography. This medium is capable of producing beautifully sensitive drawn lines and washes as well as vivid blocks of colour.
