We have one new member bringing the group membership to a total of 16. We now have a better balance with three female members. In general we have about ten members at each meeting. On the last meeting of 2008/09 we visited the Liverpool World Museum. This was very good outing and was enjoyed by all. This terminated the YEAR OF ASTRONOMY very nicely. The next meeting will be on the 4th of September 2009, 12am until 2pm at The Gateway (opposite Warrington Town Hall). I am hoping that we can format a progression at this meeting as with a few new mermbers we may need to revisit some activities and topics. I hope we will have at least one visit during the coming session, maybe a revisit to Jodrell Bank. It is possible that we may be able to obtain information on the new Telescopes due to be launched during the year. Group Organiser: Eric |
