Contract Bridge

This year, 2009, we changed our venue for the Friday group to The Winmarleigh Rooms. We had a good attendance of improvers and a class of learners was started late in the year.
The Tuesday group still met at the Methodist Church. We had some keen learners plus other regulars and people from the previous year's learning group. Jean has volunteered to take on the teaching next year and we know she will be very good at it. Thank you Jean.
So if there is anyone out there who wants to learn to play bridge come and try us out and see if you enjoy it. All we ask is that if you join as a learner you need to come regularly, (I know it is difficult to fit it in with everything else that is on offer at U3A), to keep up with the lessons. If you are already a player you are very welcome to join us and you do not need a partner.
We would like to send our best wishes to Edna, our oldest player. She really enjoyed her bridge on Friday morning but she had difficulty with the travelling and had to stop coming at Christmas. WE MISS YOU EDNA.
