Twenty-plus members continue to enjoy our monthly "eating out" at the Waterside
pub in Centre Park. We did try a different venue - The Village Hotel - for one meeting,
but found that the four-course carvery, and the "all in" price, was just too much for most
of us - the food was very good, but most of us couldn't eat our way through four courses!
So we reverted to the Waterside, and even there, we had a glitch in May - something
went wrong with the computer process, and we had to chase up our food after waiting
over an hour! When food finally arrived, some of the meals were not as ordered.
However, we gave them another chance, and in June they really made sure we were
well looked after - and they were extra busy as it was Father's Day. So all is forgiven.
We meet on the third Sunday of the month at the Waterside, at about 12.15.
Please ring a couple of days before if you intend to join us, as I need to let the pub know.
