About the Parish
The parish stands firmly in the Anglo-Catholic tradition and the worship and teaching in both churches is faithful to that tradition. The life of the parish is centred on the Mass. The parish is a member of Forward in Faith and all three resolutions have been passed. Both congregations are very welcoming and friendly.

St Aidans was consecrated in 1901 and is a large and beautiful church. It was combined with Christ Church which was pulled down some sixty years ago. Weekday masses are celebrated here.

St Andrew's was built as a mission church a dozen years before St Aidan's to cover a group of scattered villages. It is now in the middle of a housing estate. It is a small but very attractive church.
