As well as writing and editing books, magazines, articles and presentations, I have extensive experience of layout, design and illustration using Windows-based applications. In addition to my work on the content, I created the designs and layouts of several of the publications listed below.
- Author of NCF’s Improving Practices & Skill (1999)
course and handbook.
- Editor and principal author of The BASI Manual (1996)
— the official training and reference handbook for British
ski instructors, and one of the most comprehensive publications
of its kind in the world.
- Editor and principal author of the English Ski Council’s Ski Course Organiser
Handbook (1989, 1991) — a reference
handbook for schoolteachers taking children skiing.
- Editor and principal author of the English Ski Council’s Going Skiing (2001) — the replacement for the Ski Course Organiser Handbook.

- Author of Skiing — Technique, Tactics, Training
(1991) — a highly-acclaimed book written for the general
skiing public. In 1994, the book was also published in Spanish
as El Esquí.
- Editor of Ski News — the official news magazine
of the English Ski Council — from 1992 to 1998.
- Feature-writer for Skiing UK magazine, 1986-1989, Ski
Magazine, 1989-1990, and Daily Mail Ski, 1988-1990.
