Dial-Status Window
The Dial-Status Window (previously called Connection Status Window) is for novice users; it's designed to be an indestructable, in-your-face description of what Wconnect is doing; you can't close it or minimize it, and it's always on top.
The Dial-Status window popups when you connect or disconnect to the internet; it remains until you click okay. From the Preferences page of Wconnect's Properties you change it so the window doesn't wait to be dismissed--and is visible only while dialing/hanging-up. If you understand wconnect's icon scheme (don't worry, you're not tested) then you can turn it off altogether.
While dialing there's an Abort button which closes your connection only, it doesn't effect other user's connections.
The Dial-Status Window is only displayed for the first link (the leftmost one in the Server Status Dialog).
