Send popup message
This dialog is used to send a popup message to other users--or respond to popup messages sent to you.
Wconnect is not an email client, or an IRC (chat) client or an ICQ client. But this feature was asked for by a devoted user.

This window is accessed by right clicking on the client in the client list, but wconnect won't even show you the option to send a popup message unless you have the say power with connectd.

There are limits on the size of message you can send. (For some servers it's 72x10 characters, while newer versions default to 60x12.) This window is sized to match those restrictions (until I have time to rewrite an edit control). NB, in the same way you need the say to send popup messages; wconnect also requires the server's message size be at least 20x1 characters or the send popup menu options remains hidden.

For users to receive a message they must be logged-in to the server with an interactive client (like wconnect). Even selecting uses from the client list doesn't guarantee you'll be able to send them a message. Wconnect reports an error if no-one receives the message, but when multiple users are selected no error will occur if one of them receives a message.

If wconnect logoffs connectd then this window remains open to avoid discarding the message you're writing, but the Send button will be disabled. The message can be sent again as soon as you're logged in.
