Where were you born?
Greenwich, London. My family moved to North Wales when I was very young.
What was your first job?
I worked on a farm at weekends and during the school holidays.
What is your favourite book?
I enjoy all Bernard Cornwall books about Richard Sharpe.
What is your favourite TV programme?
I like a variety of programmes but 'Have I Got News For You' rates pretty highly.
What is your favourite film?
I find a'A Bridge Too Far' exciting every time I watch it.
What is your favourite meal?
I enjoy a nice steak with all the trimmings.
What is your idea of a great night in?
I enjoy spending evenings at home with my wife.
What makes you mad?
Income tax forms drive me to distraction.
With whom would you like to be marooned on a desert island?
The list is endless but I'm sure they wouldn't come with me so it will have to be my wife.
What is your best buy?
My house has been the best by far.
What is your worst buy?
Several years ago I bought a second-hand ride-on lawn mower for quite a lot of money. It turned out to be a heap of junk. If the man I bought it from reads this, I would welcome my money back.
You've won £1,000,000 what will you do with it?
I would make sure my family was financially secure and then help Roundabout to avoid the need for continual fund-raising.
