2003 Rallying
Not so much going on this year due to severe cashflow problems. I have aquired another 16valve engine which is currently being rebuilt with liners, pistons, rings, bearings, etc. Having phoned various people for a big valve ported head and finding that there is a lot of firms willing to take the money but possibly not having the correct knowledge or equipment to sort it and those that have don't have the time for me, I decided to use my 80's knowledge and apply it myself. So, a very mild blending operation on the valve throats, unshrouding of the valves in the chamber area and matching to my new inlet manifold with 3 angle seats and a skim really is all I could manage. With these heads having quite large production valves and bronze guides as standard I'm hoping with the right cams and induction system for around 200HP. I don't have a completion date as the management and induction sytem will be a major cost.
Yes this is my front room! At least its warm and there will be no rusting process.

For those of you who want inspiration Emma and I have won all these in 2.5 years in an inexpensive sensibly modded rally car. You've just got to be prepared not to eat sometimes!

First 2003 rally is Trackrods Lookout rally at Melbourne near York on 16th March.
