I kept this DR for years and was a good old tool until it ventured off road for more than a play.

But this led to this..........
KTM 250 enduro and some off road forest action. I sold this to a lad that wanted it for the road to play with the authorities.

After going to watch some club racing and saying "I could do that". I just had to put my money where my mouth was, didn't I? Well, it certainly cost some money! On a bog standard LC350 I did alright if I picked my events. The best venue was a track called Three Sisters being very tight and twisty so the standard torque and lack of all top end power helped but as soon as I went to do some horse power tracks like Snetterton I started to go backwards rapidly. Stan Stephens full race barrels and head, pipes, modified reads, Motoplat ignition, lightened bike and sticky tyres later and the thing went well but kept seizing on me which is not good when you are at the end of the straight at Snetterton flat out coming into the left with the rear wheel locked and sideways! Well its not good anyway really. Hence the traditional two fingers covering the clutch all the time pictures. The LC is still around in a mates hands as a road bike again with everything but the motoplat on it.
And as a natural progression to the tarmac.. with at first a relatively standard Yamaha LC350 (Orange jacket and all)

To an all singing and dancing race LC350.
No knee down here cos I just came out of a tight right into this left accelerating all the way and no time to swap sides.

Even my road bike took trips to the circuit. This is a Donnington Park full GP circuit track day lining up for the Melbourne loop.
