I've owned 2 genuine RS2000 Mk 1's and enjoyed them both. The white one needed a bit of restoration and supposedly I managed to get hold of the last genuine inner wing in the country for it. I got to the point of painting it white and it was waiting for the stickers when someone stole it from me! This car had a 2.1 engine with a piper 285 cam and springs in it, a 4 branch manifold and a 38 DGAS carb on it. Bilstein Group 1 front suspension and single leaf rear springs helped it handle but it was good anyway. The times below are recorded from York Drag Raceway at Melbourne Airfield near York, England. They both were stolen and the blue one wasn't insured for theft. Bummer.

Yes I know they didn't make them in 'V' reg but obviously re-registered innit? Anyway the chassis numbers matched up correctly.

The car needed a paint so here it is waiting for its stripes.

This is my blue on blue one and although only 1998cc it had a single weber 45 DCOE and a cam in it. I did that because although in good condition it must have been one of the slowest Mk1's I've driven when I initially got it! Pretty good condition though.
