CAUSE Countryside Ramble

The
first CAUSE Ramble was held on Sunday 19 September 1999 when one
hundred and forty people joined us to walk together in the countryside
on Stortford's north-western edge. Some took the shorter pushchair
route using only the lanes, but the majority walked the
main 3-mile circular route which took them along some of the public
footpaths which cross the threatened land. The Ramble was repeated
on Bank Holiday Monday 6th May 2002, when again scores of people
turned out to enjoy the lovely countryside and show their support
for our continuing campaign.
