Fleming's (36th foot)

Part of Lace Wars - The Society of 18th Century Re-enactment

36th Regiment of Foote

A few handsome young men, who are anxious to
distinguish themselves
in defence of their King & Country!
The character of the regiment is too well known
to need any comment, on service it has invariably
met the enemy & defeated them and at home it is
in every quarter a favourite.
…A soldier’s life in this regiment is a
continued series of pleasure…

God Save The King!

The 36th  Regiment of Foote recreates a typical Redcoat battalion
of the mid 18th Century,
from the War of the Austrian succession (1740-1748), including the Jacobite
Rebellion of (1745-1747) to the Seven Years War (1756-1763).

As a Living History group the 36th strive to uphold a high standard of practice
within our uniforms, accoutrements, encampment, Military displays & Skirmishes.
In addition to the government forces we portray the life of soldiers wives and how
their roles worked within a military environment.

All of our costumes are produced to a high standard, using correct materials and
methods of construction, all of our accoutrements from leatherwork, buttons to
backpacks are well researched and generally made within the group or sourced
from high quality makers.
