160m preamplifiers
John, G3PQA has sent me schematics of two 160m RX preamplifiers which both work well.
The first is a very low current consumption (5 mA) tuned amp, intended for remote Beverage or loop antennas:
The second is a "G3PQA-modified W7IUV" preamplifier which consumes some 40mA, is essentially broadband 1.8 - 30 MHz, and is very suitable for the shack.
**NB there is an error in the following W7IUV schematic: the two PSU diodes marked IN4003 should be reversed in polarity!**
