Electrophonic Music Company (EMC) was set up in 1965 to exclusively handle
Ernest Tomlinson's new music, except where specifically requested by existing
publishers. The company has also secured the copyright of several important
compositions, including the 2 jazz symphonies and Serenade for Strings, previously
handled by other publishers.
EMC is presently rediscovering many compositions from student days onwards,
including some the composer himself had forgotten. This includes items for
recordings, broadcasts and choirs, with which he has been associated. These
are again being made available for performance.
All Ernest Tomlinson's vocal music is published exclusively by EMC.
The main publishers of Tomlinson's earlier orchestral compositions are Weinberger
(whose catalogue includes works originally published by Arcadia, Fred Bendon
and Inter-Art) Boosey & Hawkes, Novello and Chandos. For information on
all performing material consult EMC.
