The Annual Installation of Elected Office-Bearers and Investiture of Provincial Grand Lodge Stewards took place on Friday 8 October 1999 within the premises of Lodge Dunse No. 23, Newtown Street, Duns. A packed Lodge was welcomed by the Provincial Grand Master Bro. Jack Kerr and Deputations received from the Provincial Grand Lodges of Lanarkshire Upper Ward, Lanarkshire Middle Ward, Linlithgowshire, Midlothian, Dumfriesshire, Roxburgh, Peebles and Selkirk Shires and from Lodge St. Davids No. 393 (E.C.), Berwick-upon-Tweed.
The Installation and Investiture of Office Bearers and Stewards was carried out by the Depute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Frank Campbell and the Substitute Provincial Grand Master Bro. George Donnelly. Over 70 Brethren were present and over 50 stayed for the Installation Dinner.
Our thanks go to Bro. Derek Wilkinson R.W.M. Lodge Dunse 23, the Brethren of the Lodge, and of course the ladies who were a tower of strength in the kitchen.
The Annual Visitation to Lodge Whiteadder No.1245 will take place on Thursday 11 November 1999 at 7.30 pm.
The Provincial Grand Master will be attending the Annual Installation of Office-Bearers of Lodge Blackadder No.1350 on the following evening, Friday 12 November 1999.
The Annual Visitation to Lodge Nisbet No.1112 will take place on Thursday 18 November at 7.30 pm.
On Friday 26 November 1999 the Provincial Grand Master will be attending the Annual Ball of Lodge St. John Kilwinning No. 57 at Haddington. On the same evening the Substitute P.G. Master Bro. George Donnelly will represent the Province at the Annual Installation of Office-Bearers at the Lodge of Ercildoune No.1119.
On Tuesday 30 November 1999, the Provincial Grand Master will be attending the Annual Installation of Office-Bearers of Lodge Dunse No.23.
The Provincial Grand Master requests a good turnout of P.G.L. Office-Bearers and Members on each occasion. Let's continue the good support that has been obvious over the last few years.
