Dear George,
Having recalculated my time at Elmbridge I
started in about 1953 up to 1957/58,the old grey matter not as
good as once was.
I stared off in Abbey House which I think
when I first got there the house master was "Nipper"
Jackson.
I like your reminicenses I too remember being
picked up from Hockley and taken all round the Essex countryside
to end up at Ilford and change onto the famous Grasshopper coaches
and on to Cranleigh.
I had a second cousin from Paglesham who was
a couple of years older than me whom you may remember,PETER CARTER
and two others also from Paglesham and Canewdon,TED THOUROGHGOOD
and COLIN LAP WOOD who died about ten or twelve years ago.
I met onboard our local coach a boy from Thudersley
by the name of GRAHAM FRENCH and he and I decided that as we were
in the same dormitory we would be bed mates and we remained bed
mates for the rest of our stay at Elmbrige. I have never seen
him since we left school.
I will leave you with these few memories until
the brain kicks in again and yes you can paste up my E mail I
would love to hear from anyone connected with Elmbridge.
regards Peter
