Birinus

In 634 St Birinus was sent by Pope Honorius to convert the pagan people of Mercia. Today Birinus offers parishes infrastructure support to play a greater role in local neighbourhoods especially in the context of creating strong and prosperous communities through regeneration and community participation.

The new corporate identity for Birinus had to reflect a Christian heritage in a modern contemporary way. The symbol in the logo superimposes the I - the first letter of Jesus in greek and the Ch (X) - the first letter of Christos. It stands for "Jesus Christ". The identity was applied to a stationery range and a website.
