Welcome to the website of the Marquis Model Flying Club.
The club caters for radio controlled model aircraft. It provides advice, practical help, flying instruction, flying sites and the opportunity to meet others involved in this great sport.
The club promotes interests in all radio controlled model aircraft and at present, the club has members that fly I/C powered models, electric powered models and gliders.
The club is affiliated to the BMFA (British Model Flying Association) which is the trading title of the SMAE (Society of Model Aeronautical Engineers). The BMFA is the body recognised by the national government to negotiate for all model flyers on matters concerning radio transmission, safety, the law, Ciivil Aviation Authority (CAA) involvement etc. The club operates within the rules and guidelines of the BMFA , with particular emphasis on safety and environmental issues.

All Marquis club members are automatically members of the BMFA and as such, are covered by a £5 million third party insurance policy (including member to member cover.
