Carboni would be Dream Dundee were today said to have been in contact with Bradford City in connection with the availability of getting Benito Carboni on loan until the end of the season. The player is not part of manager Jim Jefferies plans and has been told he can leave the club. It was rumoured that Saint Mirren had enquired about the player already this week but a spokesperson from Bradford today admitted that a Scottish club had been in contact regarding Carboni but no deal had been done. The players wages rumoured to be £40,000 a week may be a stumbling block for any deal as well as the fact the player has stated that he would like a return to Italy. Ivano Bonetti has said that he would be interested in bringing the player to the club but that it would be a "dream" to get a player of this calibre to come to Dundee especially with the wages involved. Although the deal may not happen at the moment it may come about in the future, as stranger thing's have happened.! |
