Rumours are circulating around Dundee football club that the former Italian Internationalist Attilio Lombardo may be on his way to the club from Lazio.

Reports from Italy suggest that since the departure of Sven Gorran Erickson as manager this past week Lombardo's days at the club may be numbered. His contract is up in the summer anyway but he may be allowed to leave early, with a move to Dens on the cards.

Lombardo is a close friend of manager Ivano Bonetti and nearly signed in the summer but was tempted to Lazio by Erickson and another year in Serie "A".

A Dundee spokesperson is quoted as saying " Dundee football club is always interested in bringing players of the quality of this to Dens"
