Lanarkshire Farmers' Market Limited [LFML] currently organises 3 markets every month. They are SATURDAY markets and are held on the same Saturday in each month.

• Overton Farm:
  Located in the Clyde Valley this market is the youngest of our markets. Commencing in August 2005, it is held on the FIRST Saturday in each month with the exception of January. Trading starts at 10am and continues till 3pm. Between November and April, inclusive, the stopping time is brought back to 2pm.

• Hamilton:
  This was the first of the modern day farmers' markets to be established in South Lanarkshire. Initially sponsored by South Lanarkshire Council the market has always been held on the THIRD Saturday of each month with the exception of January. Three separate sites have been tried and it is acknowledged that the current site which is in the heart of the old town centre, is the most viable. Trading starts at 9am and goes on until 1pm.

• Clarkston:
  Established in March 2002, this has proved to be the most successful LFML venue. Inital support was provided by East Renfrewshire Council and the Station Car Park has proved to be an ideal location. Held on the FOURTH Saturady in every month the trading hours are 9am till 1pm.

Future Markets:
LFML stll has one free Saturday and the group are looking for a suitable venue - most likely in South Lanarkshire where our reputation for being a quality market runs high. Good and suitable sites are not easy to come-by but the Directors continue to research any that do come to light.

In the fullness of time LFML may look to organising mid-week markets.

Other tried locations:

Other venues have been tried in East Kilbride, Rutherglen, Airdrie and Coatbridge but these have proved unsuccessful for a variety of different reasons.
