Agony continues...

Bangor City 0 Lincoln 3, Sunday 11th April 2004

A makeshift Bangor team matched the visitors for commitment but were always second best in this Oval encounter. Lincoln City assured their place in next season’s Northern Division with Priestley scoring twice in the first half after some shaky defending. The only goal of the second half came after Jackson scored five minutes after the break after the Bangor defence fell asleep from a free-kick position.

Awful Bangor lose again

Lincoln 3 Bangor City 1 , Sunday 2nd November 2003

Bangor produced their worst performance of the season and deservedly lost to a more committed Lincoln side. The first 45 minutes saw Bangor rarely get out of their own half and they were second to every ball. It was no surprise when Lincoln took the lead after Harris took advantage of a kind rebound from an attempted Bangor clearance. It looked like Bangor might get away with only a 1-0 defecit at half-time but just before the real Priestly was put through to score after Jones lost the ball in midfield.

Bangor improved after a half-time lecture but still were second best. The visitors were given a lifeline when a clearance from a corner fell to Prince to score from outside of the box. However, Lincoln wrapped up the win when sub Spence headed powerfully in from a corner.
