		La Valletta - St Julian's bay
		Overbooking, downgrading, changed accommodation Holiday taken in 2000. We were put in an adjacent building but we had booked a studio and paid for under occupancy but were put in a twin room. The room was 11ft. square and had kitchen facilities on the roof of the building . The balcony was so high that on sitting down all you could see was a concrete wall. On complaining to the rep we were told that nothing could be done as they were so busy. The lifts were frequently inoperable. In my opinion the rooms were not clean, and were in a state of disrepair.
		.Resort wise Paceville /St. Julian's is in my opinion very dirty, run down and has a lot of unsafe broken pavements. .

		Advertised as four star, half board or fully inclusive, this hotel has derelict ground on two sides which is overrun with cats. Hookers ply their trade 25 yards from the front door using cars. Food is the worst I have ever eaten and I was a chef for 30 years. Breakfast every morning for two weeks except two days was, two sausages, half cooked fried eggs [2] and beans, no tomatoes, bacon etc. The evening meal was put into hotplate starting at 4-30 for service at 6 o'clock, packet soup [tasteless] fish, [catering packs] either; r/beef or pork [2 slices] frozen veg, roast potatoes [deep fried] and half cooked boiled potatoes. On two nights instead of roast potatoes we had sauté pots which had 3 inches of fat in the bottom of the serving dish. The sweet is a joke. Ice cream, fruit salad [tinned] or gateaux [frozen packet] It is not self-service, so food is rationed by the cooks who serve it. Sheets were changed once in the two week period [23/4/01-7/5/01] complaints to the rep [DIRECT HOLIDAYS] were ignored.
