      Advertised in the brochure as a three star plus well run apartment complex. We went all inclusive and the food was appalling.
Hot food was not hot and cold food was not cold. Fresh food was thrown on top of food that was not so fresh and the microwave was disgustingly filthy inside. We made numerous complaints to the Rep. but to no avail. We were sick for 5 days with diahorrea and severe stomach cramps and so were a lot of other people with the same symptoms.
The accommodation was very dated and not deserving of it's rating. We had no choice but to buy food and eat out as we had 3 children with us and they too had been unwell. We have no intention of letting Direct Holidays get away with this.

      Hotel Boa Vista,   ALBUFEIRA.
     

Found it to be disappointing. Initially, put in lower ground rooms over back street, filthy dirty and in complete need of refurbishment. Moved to room on pool level, better but still not worthy of 4* grading.  All guests were complaining, reps not interested, complaint on arrival me met by sarcastic written reply & complaint still ongoing.

      Hotel Mirachoro Sol,     PORTIMAO.
     
     

The hotel is in a residential area of Portimao.

At night the place comes alive with dogs barking and howling all night  long, my husband is just getting over a heart attack. The hotel pool was 150 yards away from the hotel across some rough ground and you had to be careful of where you walked as the place was  full of   dog muck   every where. JMC reps were of no use as they refused to help with any problems.

      This is a truly awful holiday destination and anyone considering it, shouldn't!
My family and I went for 2 weeks, all inclusive, and had a fairly miserable time. The hotel was run-down,  the food disgusting, the staff rude, and the reps inept. I have complained to Cosmos and time will tell what their response will be. My advice is  DON'T GO  !!
