Isle of Wight 2009

During the last week of June we visited the Isle of Wight to take part in the Austin Ten Drivers Club Vectis Adventure. This was a superb event held in glorious sunshine in the company of a great band of Austin enthusiasts.

The days were spent driving the cars with much hill climbing and low gear work. On one occasion we even found a couple of nice deep fords to tackle. On Monday afternoon we chartered the little paddle steamer Monarch for a cruise down the Medina which was an interesting experience.

The evenings were spent amusing ourselves at our leisure complex with evening stage shows followed by various activities, such as boules, table tennis, darts, indoor bowls, karaoke etc until the early hours.
