The coaching scheme at Cippenham Table Tennis Club is one of the most successful in the country, having produced a number of national champions over the past few years, especially in the younger age groups.
Youngsters start as young as five years of age - so long as they can see over the table and have some coordination!
The Cippenham coaching scheme is part of the ETTA PremierClub scheme operating at Excellence, Advanced and Participation levels with feeder schools at Introductory level.
Head Coach Ken Phillips has twice been presented with the English Table Tennis Association Male Coach of the Year Award (1999; 2000) and in February 2001 received the highest possible accolade with the National Coaching Foundation England Coach of the Year (2000) Award in the category Local Volunteer Coach in an Individual Sport (photo above).
A further award came the Club's way in 2001 when Sue Hayes was presented with the ETTA Female Coach of the Year Award and again in 2007 when Jan Chapman received the same honour.

Beginners' coaching (open to all)
- Tournament play:
- The Club's coaching staff attend many of the junior tournaments on the open circuit, taking with them a large contingent of the Club's young players.
