A Buckinghamshire team, full of Cippenham players, came so close to winning the County Championships Junior Premier Division.  In the end a 5-5 last-ditch draw with Surrey was only enough for second place but this was still an excellent performance from the team in its first season at the top level.  Bucks led Surrey 3-1 and 4-2 and had they managed the magical 6-4 scoreline would have become national champions.  Despite finishing only second Bucks went through both weekends unbeaten.

In the final analysis Addleshaw Booth Cippenham won all 10 matches, losing only 4 sets, and were 9 points clear of their nearest challengers. Karen Shepherd went through the season unbeaten while Jo Parker lost only once and Gemma Chapman three times. The Girls' "B" team (Emily Tucker; Gemma Hollett; Francesca Parnell) played exceptionally well also to win Division 2 while the Boys' "A" team (Warren Brooks; Adam Bleakley; Robert Hansell) remained unbeaten throughout the season and were desperately unlucky to be pipped into second place in Division 1.
