CIPPENHAM TABLE TENNIS CLUB

REGULATIONS FOR PRIVILEGED MEMBERSHIP

1. GENERAL:

1.1. These regulations govern all aspects of Privileged Membership in conjunction with the Rules - Constitution and Administration of the Club.

1.2. These regulations may be changed only by resolution of the Management Committee.

2. DEFINITIONS:

2.1. Privileged Membership: the benefits granted to a Full Member who has been made a Privileged Member.

2.2. Privileged Member: as defined in Rule 6.1.3. - a Full Member who has had the benefits of Privileged Membership granted to him by the Management Committee.

2.3. Gold Privileged Member: a Privileged Member who has had additional benefits granted to him by the Management Committee.

2.4. Permitted Hours: from 4.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. on days within school term time and from 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m. on all other days.

2.5. Where the context so permits the masculine gender shall be taken to include the feminine gender.

3. AUTHORITY:

3.1. No person or group of persons other than the Management Committee may decide upon the members to whom the benefits of Privileged Membership shall be granted.

3.2. Privileged Membership may be granted by the Management Committee at any time and the benefits shall be effective from that date.

3.3. The Management Committee may, at any time and without giving reason, withdraw Privileged Membership from any person.

4. TIME PERIOD:

4.1. A Privileged Member shall have the benefits of Privileged Membership from the time that they are granted until:

4.1.1. they are withdrawn by the Management Committee; or

4.1.2. they are not renewed in the annual renewal process; or

4.1.3. the member resigns his membership of the Club or his membership lapses.

4.2. Each year, at its first meeting after the Annual General Meeting, the Management Committee shall decide to which members Privileged Membership shall be granted or renewed.

5. PRIVILEGES:

5.1. Privileged Members shall be allowed the following:

5.1.1. Free use for practice, with one guest or any numbers of guests from within the same Family Membership as the Privileged Member, of Cippenham Table Tennis Centre within the Permitted Hours when the premises are not being used for another purpose.

5.2. Gold Privileged Members and any family members included within their Family Membership shall, in addition, be allowed the following:

5.2.1. Admission to the Club's practice sessions without payment of a practice fee;

5.2.2. Participation in Club coaching sessions without payment of a coaching fee;

5.2.3. Participation in matches without payment of a match fee;

5.2.4. Free use for coaching, paid or otherwise, or as a paid practice partner.

6. QUALIFICATION:

6.1. Privileged Membership is granted for:

6.1.1. Outstanding service to the Club over a period of at least a year or, in the case of Gold Privileged Membership, at least two years; or

6.1.2. To provide exceptional training requirements to talented players.
