ALICE-LEWIS WEIGHTS PAGE
I hope you will find something of interest in my World of Weights Dreams and perhaps in some little way I can help you to achieve your Dreams.
Introduction
I am Graham, I am a retired Bank Manager, currently fully occupied as a full time carer for my wife, who suffers from Tuberous Sclerosis. My interest in Weights goes back nearly 4 years, have owned various odd and quirky items during that period of time. As like many other Collectors, I have full set of Skittle and Bells Weights, to the stupid Home pride Weights. However with space a premium, I have concentrated over the past few years, with APOTHECARY WEIGHTS, BULLION WEIGHTS and SOVEREIGN WEIGHTS for period 1817-1843. As any collector in this field will know they are small, easy to maintain and relatively inexpensive.

BACKGROUND
This collection of items was borne out of frustration, until late 1997 I collected half-crowns, specialising in pre Victorian coinage, but with the passage of time, the desire to acquire top quality pieces, was frustrated by the ever escalating price, which eventually persuaded me to sell up and look for a much cheaper area for collecting. Little did I know what I had let myself into in this area, however armed with the trusty inexpensive guides by Norman Biggs, I was soon able to acquire interesting pieces to grow the collection. Again here space and cost are paramount. The Sovereign weights relate in very nicely to my interest in Sovereign Rockers.
