Recent Media Coverage of the

National Chamber Orchestra of Wales

1) Welsh Music - Review of concert in the Gower Festival

"The National Chamber Orchestra of Wales appeared in Oystermouth Church on Friday 31st July, mainly under the versatile baton of Wyn Davies. They gave an unusual concert of music by Morfydd Owen, Daniel Jones (his Oboe Concerto with John Anderson as the soloist) and colourful works by successful media composers Mark Thomas and Karl Jenkins. All this music had local associations and this praiseworthy venture was gratifyingly well received" Heward Rees.

2) Larry Adler speaking on BBC 1 Television about the N.C.O.W.

"I have to say how wonderfully the orchestra played"

3) South Wales Evening Post - Review of Concert in the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea.

"Bryn Terfel was backed magnificently by the National Chamber Orchestra of Wales, conducted by Grant Llewellyn. As well as providing sensitive support they also played several popular items including a beautiful performance of "Chanson de Matin" by Elgar and a delightful performance of two Mozart overtures"

4)    Martin Dreyer writing in Opera, June 1999 about 'Madama Butterfly' at Harrogate with Opera Box -

"What lifted this production out of the ordinary was the exceptional contribution by the members of the National Chamber Orchestra of Wales in the pit. Conducted by Fraser Goulding, in his own reduction of the score, this ensemble proved remarkably lithe and responsive.
