"In the name of God Amen the xxiijth of Januarye in Ao Dni 1590 and in the

three and thirteth yeare of the Raigne of our Soueraigne Lady Elizabeth by the

grace of god of Englande ffrance and Irelande Queene defendresse of the faith

&c. I Willm Guye of Claxton in the Countie of Leicester Husbandman beinge

sicke of body but of of perfect remmembrance god be prais'd do make & ordaine

this my last will and Testament in manner and forme followinge. Imprimis I

bequeath my soule vnto Almightie god trustinge to be saved by a livelye faith

in Jesu Christ and my body to be buried in the parish Church of Claxton Item I

giue to the poore mans boxe of Claxton xijd Item I guie and bequeath the Lease

of my farme the one halfe to Anne my wife and the other halfe to Richarde Guye

and Hew Guye my sonnes Item I guie to Robert Guye my Eldest sonne one

yearlinge fillye Allso I guie to Richard Guye and Hew Guye the sonnes of

Robert Guye either of them one quy Calfe Item I guie to Margarett Marrett one

siluer spoone Allso I guie to Edwarde Marrett and Margaret Marrett either of

them one quy Calfe Item I guie to Edward Guye my sonne vli one heffer and one

siluer spoone the money to be paide him at martinmes next which shall be in

the yeare of oure lorde god 1591 Item I guie to Andrew Guye my sonne vli and

one siluer spoone the money to be paid him at martinmes which shall be in the

yeare of our lorde god 1592 Item I guie to Owin Guye vli and one siluer spoone

whereof xxxs to be paid him at such a time as he shall go to be apprentis and

the rest when he shall come to the age of xxjth yeares. I'em I guie to Thomas

Guye Sallomon Guye and ffrances Guye eurye one of them vli and eurye one of

them one siluer spoone the to be paide when the shall accomplish the age opf

xxj years Item I guie to Jane Guye my daughter one prasse standing in my

parler & one quit coueringe Item I guie to effum ????????Guye my daughter vli

and one siluer spoone to be paide when shee shall accomplish the age of xxj

years Item I guie to Elizabeth Moorethe daughter of John moore one lambe Hogge

to be paide the daye of hir mariage if shee so longe do liue The rest of my

goods vnbequeathed my debts and legac'es dischared I guie the one half to Anne

my wife and the other halfe to Richard Guye and Hew Guye my sonnes whom I make

& ordaine Joint Executors of this my last will and Testament Item I ordaine

and make Edwarde moore Edwarde Guye & Thomas Marrett Superuisours of this my

last will & Testament."
