here is a little info about me.I am 23 years of age and live in Birmingham, England.
I have been yoing seriously since October, 1998. After seeing the UK National Championships back in November, 1998 at the NEC in Birmingham, I was so impressed with what I saw that I too wanted to become a really good yoer..which I'm still working towards!
I have approximately 27 yoyos in my small collection. My favourites have to be my HandQuake 1.4b, my Cold Fusion GT and my Custom Reactor. I'm looking forward to the arrival of Customs' Chain Reactors once they leave the US shores, hopefully the Eric Wolffe Signature Series will be availabe as well as the normal Chain Reactors (see reviews for picture Signature Series Chain Reactor). For playing purposes I prefer to use my Turbo BumbleBee GT or one of my Yomega Raiders, and for loops you can't beat a Proyo II.
I am currently trying to improve my 2 handed play which is fairly average at the moment. I have made some good progress with the great tips given to me by Richie Windsor (also for various pics used on this site) and Brendan Preece...thanks guys!! Also, thanks to Samuel Chan who taught me how to do his own excellent but very difficult single yoyo trick, Tritium Bomb, it's AWESOME!!! (see Tritium Bomb page for description of trick).
I try to yo whenever I can, and have even yoed whilst at work! (don't tell the boss!!) It's a fantastic sport and I'm really glad I got into it when I did. However, since 1998, the 'craze' has seemingly died out in Birmingham, and I think I'm one of the very few people left that are still into it. But it's more than just a passing craze to me. I don't just yo because I think it's cool, I like to yo because it helps me to relax when I'm stressed out, keeps me busy when I'm bored and there's always something new to learn or try.
I also hope to enter the 1999 UK Nationals and with any luck should enter in the Advanced Division.
Apart from yoing I like to play snooker down at my local club (my two highest breaks are 60 and 56), hang out with friends or play some games on my Playstation.
I thought of putting together this yoyo site so that it would benefit mainly newbie yoyoers. Although it would be nice if it were to be of some use to intermediate or even advanced players.
Thanks for visiting.
I hope you enjoy my site.
Hardee.
