Studied two years Economics at Gazi University, then realised all he was doing was drawing the tutors and other students around him. He found out that art is the only way to "say something"

1988 moved to Hacettepe University and graduated after studying Graphic Design and Fine Arts for 4 years. After moving to England he continued creating and had 8 personal exhibitions.

Hakan started running eco-friendly workshops at the local schools by year 2000 and this followed by long running workshops for Horsham, Mid Sussex and Littlehampton Councils.

Hakan completed his PGCE course (Roehampton University) and is now an Art and Design teacher (Hampshire).
