FACILITIES FOR THE DISABLED
DARLEY DALE STATION
The car park is adjacent to the station, with a slight ramp up to the platform. The station buffet and shop are accessable when open. A dedicated disabled toilet is on the platform next to the buffet.
ROWSLEY STATION
The car park is again adjacent to the station, with a slight ramp up to the platform. The station buffet door may be slightly narrow for wheelchair access, and there is a step up to the shop. A dedicated disabled toilet is in the car park.
MATLOCK STATION
There is a walk from the BR Station to our Matlock Riverside Station up a stoney path, so it may be better to access Peak Rail by one of the other stations.
TRAIN
Peak Rail have a disabled access coach, which is normally in service in the main train. Please note that this is not available on the DMU service, or the Palatine Restaurant. We regret that easily accessable space for those confined to a wheelchair is only available on the DMU in the parcels area, and not in the Palatine Restaurant. Assistance can be given to those with limited mobility to help them access a normal seating area.
Passengers in wheelchairs have access into the main saloon, where there is space for up to 3 wheelchairs, and 4 passengers with limited mobility can easily get access to the normal seating. Access into the coach is via a ramp, so please tell station staff when you arrive as they will be able to assist with this.
