Ceiriog Country Holidays is operated Bryn Hughes, a Welsh speaking resident of the Ceiriog Valley, near Llangollen.
Bryn is a qualified Green Badge Tour Guides for North Wales and delights in showing his beautiful country to visitors.

Bryn, 50, runs a tour guiding business along with his activity holiday services and loves walking and all outdoor pursuits. Educated in Nottingham, he returned to 'The Land of my Fathers' 12 years ago to set up his tourism business.

Access by road
The Ceiriog Valley is easily accessible from the main road network, journey times from Chester - 35 min.; Shrewsbury - 40 min; Liverpool - 1 hour; Manchester -1hr 15mins; Birmingham -1hr 15mins; London - 3 hours.

From the north
M56 then take the A483 by-passing Chester and Wrexham to the roundabout junction with the A5, signposted to Llangollen. Turn right at this roundabout, then left at the next roundabout onto the B5070 signposted Chirk and the Ceiriog Valley. Continue into Chirk to the junction with the B4500 turning right as signposted for Glyn Ceiriog and the Ceiriog Valley.

From the South
M54 then take the A5 by-passing Shrewsbury and Oswestry to the roundabout junction with the B5070, signposted Chirk and the Ceiriog Valley (2nd exit). Continue into Chirk to the junction with the B4500, turning left as signposted for Glyn Ceiriog and the Ceiriog Valley.

Public Transport
Rail - A local station at Chirk provides access to the rail network, served on the main Birmingham - Shrewsbury - Wrexham - Chester line. Bus - Local operators provide direct services from the Valley to Oswestry, Wrexham and Llangollen, with connections at Chirk for Wrexham, Chester, Shrewsbury and beyond.

Neighbouring attractions include Llangollen and the Dee Valley, Chester, Chirk Castle and Erddig National Trust properties ; Rhaeadr Waterfalls and Lake Vyrnwy; the market towns of Oswestry and Wrexham; Bangor-on-Dee races and a little further afield -yet only an hours drive away -are the mountains of Snowdonia and the North Wales coast.

Choir practices are held in Glyn Ceiriog, with the occasional impromptu performance in the local hotels.

Special events are held at Chirk Castle (National Trust) throughout the season, and Llangollen plays host to the International Musical Eisteddfod at the beginning of July.
