Ingrid Wilkins


Ingrid Wilkins was born in Stuttgart and educated in Germany, Afghanistan and Malaysia, before graduating in 1972 from the University of Singapore with a degree in Philosophy. Her paintings have no external reference. They are an exploration of her feelings - 'an inner world of silent things which have no name'. She has exhibited at the Mall Galleries, the new English Art Club and the Pastel Society, winning the Hoffman-Guthrie Award in 1999 and the Unision Prize in 2004.

1969-1972 - BA at University of Singapore (Philosophy, Sociology).
Hampstead School of Art, London, Slade Summer School.
March 2001 - Membership of the Pastel Society.
