The Fermanagh Repeater, GB3CP is owned and maintained by Lough Erne Amateur Radio Club Gi0LEC www.learc.eu and is funded by the Club as a service to members and to all radio amateurs and experimenters in Northern Ireland and nearby counties of the Republic of Ireland. The NoV was issued in January 2009. Our Repeater Keeper is Raymond Ashe Gi8RLE whom we elected an Honorary Member to mark his good service to the Club, our repeater and amateur radio. Getting access to the Repeater

To gain access to the GB3CP repeater when it is not in operation you provide a 1750Hz or a CTCSS tone set at 110.9Hz while transmitting and keep the transmitter on for 6 seconds in which time you will give your call sign. This will open the repeater and when accessed you will hear a your signal report in Morse “S”trong(...), "I"ntermediate (..), "W"eak (.--) this will be followed by 4 pips. (E ".")

Once the repeater is open no other tone is required and it will stay open while it is in use. If CTCSS only is selected then CTCSS must be used at all times.

CTCSS is used on both RX and TX from the repeater. The TX CTCSS will drop after the end of over ident.

The repeater will give a signal report (S,I or W) the end of a transmission that lasts longer than 5 seconds and if you wait for the 1st pip "E" (.) each time it’s your over it will allow others to break in.

If you have no tone burst or CTCSS tone you could try whistling it up (around 1750 Hz )  logic has been set for CTCSS + Tone

The GB3CP repeater has a 5 minute time out where time out tones and pips will be heard at the same time as the rag chewer is talking then close down.

The Morse ident is set to 12 words per minute

The Repeater call sign (GB3CP) will be transmitted every 15 minutes.

This repeater is a True 12.5 k repeater as thus you must use narrow deviation. If over deviating then your transmission audio will be broke up (Norman Collier)
