Other common FAQs....
What are eLearning Credits (eLCs)?
eLearning Credits refers to a ring-fenced Standards Fund Grant (618) which is being given to LEAs for all maintained schools and maintained places in England, for pupils up to and including Key Stage 4. The current allocation of £100 million must be spent by 31 August 2005, but you have until 31 August 2006 to spend the next allocation of £100 million.
How can I get my eLCs?
eLCs are paid as cash to LEAs based on the number of schools in their area and the number of pupils at those schools. Each school is entitled to £1000 as a starting point plus £9.73 for each pupil at the school. If you have not received your allocation of eLC funds, you should contact your LEA and speak to the individual or team responsible for distributing Standards Fund money received from the DfES.
What can I spend my eLCs on?
You can only use your eLCs to purchase DfES approved products from a DfES approved supplier. All approved products are listed on the Curriculum Online website at www.curriculumonline.gov.uk along with approved suppliers who you can purchase from.
