GymMark is your National Governing Body’s stamp of quality assurance.

Baga Do you believe that your club should develop its standards and be publicly recognised as Safe, Effective and Child Friendly?
If so, British Gymnastics welcome your commitment and wish to work with you to support the development of your club.

Benefits of Achieving GymMark:
- To give parents and gymnasts the guaranteed assurance that their club is nationally recognised as Safe, Effective and Child Friendly.
- To obtain a free club development resource pack.
- To ensure your club stands out from the rest.
- Clubs with GymMark status are more likely to be looked upon favourably when making applications for different types of funding.
- GymMark is the equivalent of Clubmark awarded by Sport England and is also recognised by the other home country Sports Councils.

Baga How to achieve GymMark:
Applying for GymMark is easy. All you have to do is register your interest by returning attached forms. A free resource pack will be sent to you detailing the criteria necessary to meet the required standards. The resource pack is also full of tips and useful templates for use in the club.

Complete the assessment file. British Gymnastics will appoint a link officer to provide advice and guidance to your club throughout the process. Send your completed file to British Gymnastics for accreditation.

Clubs are assessed on four criteria:
1. Duty of Care and Child Protection
2. Coaching and Competition
3. Sports Equity and Ethics
4. Club Management

A completed file shows that your club has in place the necessary structure and resources to provide a safe, effective and child friendly gymnastics environment. Successful clubs will be awarded a GymMark certificate.

How long does GymMark last?
GymMark will be awarded for three years during which time an annual self-assessment is undertaken by the club and verified by your British Gymnastics link officer.

How can you start?
If you would like more information about GymMark, please fill in and return the attached registration form. A British Gymnastics’ representative will be available to assist you through the GymMark process.
