The Yorkshire Regional Development Officer (RDO) is funded by the main partner of Sport England. In addition to working closely with Sport England, Gymnastics enjoys positive partnerships with many organisations in order to develop our sport. Of Particular note are:-

County Sports Partnerships
The partnerships are key strategic delivery agencies for sport in each of the Sub Regional Areas. They are the infrastructure of sports provision in Yorkshire, that are committed to creating a single system for sport. The partnerships work with the Local Authority Groups, School Sports Partnerships, Governing Bodies of Sport, Primary Care Trusts, Youth Sport Trust and many other groups involved in sport and physical activity in their areas. Their are 4 County Sports Partnerships in Yorkshire :- West Yorkshire Sport, South Yorkshire Sport, North Yorkshire Sport, Humber Sports Partnership.

School Sport Partnerships
As Part of the Physical Education School Sport Club Links (PESSCL) strategy, the RDO is working with the Clusters of Schools to help raise the standard of Gymnastics in curriculum time, and form after school clubs, that have good links with the Gym Clubs in the region. By the end of 2006, there will be 49 School Sport Partnerships in the Yorkshire region, and all schools will have a School Sports Co-ordinator who makes sure their are quality gymnastics experiences for all pupils.

Youth Sports Trust
They are the organisation who are managing the school sport partnerships. YST and British Gymnastics work effectively in Partnership together.

Sports Coach UK
Are the organisation who look after coaching and sports coaches. They offer support systems for all those involved in coaching gymnastics, and are working with British Gymnastics towards the UK vision for coaching and the UK Coaching Certificate.
