Maximum Climbing Time
There are never more than two clients with our friendly, qualified instructor and, whether you are a beginner or have climbed before, he (or she) will make sure that you thoroughly learn the ropes and have the best time possible. They know which crags will be best suited to your abilities and the weather and will mix roadside locations which maximise climbing time with mountain routes which will let you enjoy the splendour of Snowdonia and avoid the crowds.

rock climbing courses  Everything Included
Of course, as with all High Trek breaks, the price includes full board accommodation in our old Welsh farmhouse as well as all specialist equipment (apart from rock boots which we can arrange to hire locally). So, whether you come by yourself or as a couple, you can have a relaxing break as well as learn new skills.

Beginners - Join the Club and Get the Bug!
Over the three days we hope to give you a good introduction to this the fastest growing sport in Britain. Apart from a few hours ropework practise the first evening, the whole course will be conducted on crags and outcrops. Your instructor will select appropriate routes starting with single pitch (one rope length) routes and moving to multi-pitch ones.

You'll learn the basics of tying on, using a belay plate and the climbing calls (shouts used to tell your partner what you're doing !). He'll cover belay techniques (using the rope to protect), talk about the use and selection of equipment and advise on climbing moves. You'll also learn to abseil.

Improvers - Learn to Lead or move outdoors from indoors!
This course is suitable either for those who've climbed before and want to progress to leading or for those who have climbed on indoor walls and want to "feel real rock" and master the necessary ropework.

Your instructor will be helping you place protection, set up belays and select and construct anchors. He'll also be advising you on route choice, getting the most out of guidebooks and judging grades.
