A True Mountain Trail
The Classic Trek is the vacation our reputation was built on and we have been running them for 12 years. The trail has been structured so that the mountain experience gradually builds up. So, if you've a touch of gypsy in your soul yet have a few qualms about leaving all creature comforts behind this is the trek for you.

From Quiet Cwms to High Mountain Tops
We'll venture into quiet cwms (valleys) that no car-tripping picnicker will ever reach, past spectacular waterfalls and magnificent crags to the top of some of the most delightful mountains in Europe including Snowdon itself.
The Home of Mountaineering
The first four nights will be spend in four different hotels. Each chosen for the its special situation and the warmth of its welcome. For instance on Monday nights you'll find yourself following the footsteps of the famous as you stay in the Pen Y Gwryd Hotel. They have been welcoming climbers for 140 years. The team who first climbed Everest in 1953 trained here and still hold reunions there.

mountain bothy  Stay in the Highest Mountaineering Hut in Wales
On Wednesday we'll be venturing into the most remote mountains and staying in the highest mountaineering hut in Wales. You'll sample a taste of true mountaineering life sleeping in Alpine (communal) bunks with your sweater as a pillow. Washing facilities are limited to a sink and lighting is by the glow of gas lamps, but the bothy's so snug with an efficient pot belly stove and so atmospheric that we couldn't resist giving you a taste of this type of life.

A Night Under the Stars
We also feel to truly become a trail walker you should spend a night under canvas. It's an experience not to be missed to lie in your tent listening to the silence and taking a last look at the sun setting behind the mountains crossed that day.
Again, of course, you'll only have to carry your sleeping bag (provided by us) and personal gear. We'll take all the food there and have the tents set up ready for your arrival. Your last night will be back in a guest house where you'll really appreciate a soak in a hot tub after the last few days adventures!
