Mountains rising from misty seas and sparkling lakes, moors, and purple heather, waterfalls and sheep and ponies grazing - North Wales offers some of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe. From the moment you cross the border from England into Wales, you know that you are in another country with its own language, culture and way of life. 

Rich Heritage 
The past has left its mark everywhere - in prehistoric standing stones, ancient Celtic hill forts, towering castles and trim chapels. There's industrial heritage too since Wales has been exploited for its mineral wealth from the Roman gold mines to the more recent slate quarries. Snowdonia is the stronghold of Welsh, which is an ancient Celtic language though everyone speaks English too. 

Magnificent Landscape 
Snowdonia's landscape was so beautiful and important it was one of the first National Parks to be created in Britain. From the peaks with an uncloudy sky, one can see as far as Scotland, Ireland and the Isle of Man. Countryside like this has attracted geologists and naturalists and inspired many artists and poets over the centuries. We can offer walking from the gentlest lakeside paths to the most rugged buttresses and ridges. Come and see!
