For the Joshua Foundation

  Flyathlon Charity Challenge

Update 18th August 2011

Due to bad weather being forecast for the weekend of the 20th August we have decided to postpone the challenge until May 2012. This is not really a problem as it will give us more time to raise even more money for the Joshua Foundation.

In May 2012 Huw Carey and Martin Smith will be attempting to break the National Three Peaks Challenge record.

This will involve climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon in a quick as time as possible. This normally takes around 24 hours when driving from the starting point at each mountain to the next one.

But because there are no set rules on the mode of travel between peaks we will be using a light aircraft to fly to each start point (nearby farm landing strips) therefore cutting down the travel time. We are looking to complete this challenge in less than 14.5 hours.

This will be a tough challenge but we are raising money for the Joshua Foundation so please support us by donating.

Many thanks.
