Unit 10 Outline - Resource Exploitation
Resources are things we use. Sometimes these are in short supply or might run out - oil, food or water for example. But they are always useful.
You need to remember the differences between reneweable and non-renewable resources - and that resources are about more than just energy.
Key Content:
- Why some non-reneweable resources are running out
- What the consequences of this might be
- What we can do about this - including recycyling and using renweable energy
Major Case Studies:
- At least one non-renweable resources, such as oil
- Renewable energy resources such as biogas digestors in India or wind turbines in the UK (like at Parham...)
- A recycling scheme
